Olin Jazz Orchestra

OJO usually plays with 3-4 trumpets; 3-4 trombones; a saxophone section with alto, tenor, and baritone saxes; a flute or two; and a rhythm section with drumset, electric/upright bass, sometimes a guitar, and piano. They have also played with vocalists.

The band usually plays dedicated Winter and Spring concerts with an appearance at SLACfest too. OJO has also hosted a swing dance night through Student Government in the past.

The usual process for joining is showing up! By the nature of Olin's small student population, OJO is always welcoming students interested in playing jazz. The Campus Center Jam Room is where OJO usually meets.
